Senator Lauds School Districts for Opting into Act 72

With property taxes at an all-time high in Pennsylvania, I am happy to report that all of the Luzerne County school districts and most of the Carbon County districts voted to opt into Act 72.  more

  Senator Musto presented comments and video presentation to over 275 attendees at the 82nd Annual Dinner meeting of the Pittston Chamber of Commerce. The Senator touched on many of the issues currently before the state legislature as well as the local impact of Governor Rendel's Economic Stimulus package passed by the legislature.  The Senator then presented a video presentation on the past and future of the Greater Pittston area.

On December 23, 2003, Governor Rendell signed into law House Bill 44 which establishes the Health Care Provider Retention Program.  This Program will provide for an abatement of the 2003 and 2004 Mcare assessments for health care providers who meet the eligibility requirements contained in the law.  Details
